台灣時事|機車貸款|伊爾艾朗：Fed 2%通膨目標不是正確的目標 | Anue鉅亨 - 美股
安聯集團首席經濟顧問伊爾艾朗 (Mohamed El-Erian) 週五 (17 日) 接受《彭博》專訪時表示，聯準會 (Fed) 無法在不「摧毀經濟」的情況下將通膨率降至 2% 的目標水準，因為他認為 2% 的目標不是「正確的目標」。
伊爾艾朗提到：「聯準會需要一個更高的通膨目標，好比 3% 到 4%，但無法在不摧毀經濟的情況下將 CPI 降至 2% 的目標水準，那是因為 2% 不是正確的目標。
」在他發表上述評論之前，美國勞工統計局數據顯示，在能源和住房成本推動下，1 月份消費者物價指數 (CPI) 月增率 0.5%，創下三個月來最大漲幅，而 1 月 CPI 年增率達 6.4%，高於預期的 6.2%。
伊爾艾朗認為：「聯準會過於依賴數據... 聯準會現在的問題是，他們一直在追逐難以實現的 2% 目標，而且當以如此大的距離錯過通膨目標時，他們無法改變通膨目標。
」他曾警告稱，改變通膨目標將損害聯準會的信譽。
聯準會犯下兩大錯誤，其一是錯誤地將通膨判定為暫時性的狀況，其二是聯準會最終承認通膨持續且居高不下後，卻沒有採取有意義的行動。
如今聯準會不僅必須克服通貨膨脹，還必須要努力恢復自身的信譽，而改變通膨目標將損害聯準會的信譽。
